NHSE consultation on service specifications
15 April 2014NHSE has announced a 12 week consultation on changes made to 15 of its specialised services specifications, including the specification for complex disability equipment. The specifications set out what is expected of providers in terms of the standards required, and define access to a service. The consultation process started on 26th February so will end on 21st May 2014. All 15 service specifications have already been subject to consultation but NHSE is now consulting on changes made to those documents since the last consultation exercise was undertaken. Veterans’ Transition Review
12 February 2014Lord Ashcroft KCMG PC published the Veterans’ Transition Review yesterday, his report examined the transition of Armed Forces personnel from their military careers to civilian life at the end of their service. The independent Review has consulted widely with the Armed Forces, the MOD and other government bodies, industry and the Third Sector, and has heard directly from hundreds of Service Leavers about their experience of transition. Ian Waller, Acting Chief Executive for Blesma, The Limbless Veterans was invited to the review and welcomed the report.
