Blesma Member Owen tames the snow and takes home the Gold!

Blesma-sponsored snowboarder Owen Pick has become Dew Tour Adaptive Banked Slalom Champion. The win marks Owen’s first gold medal in any major contest at Dew Tour on 8th February. Dew Tour is an innovative contest series and content platform that brings together the world’s best skateboarders, snowboarders, skiers, artists, brands, and fans in a celebration of creativity and style. Calling all volunteers, Blesma buckets at the ready! We are dusting off our buckets for 2020 and heading to the Capital once again – and we need your help! London Bridge and Waterloo are first on the list this year and we would love to see you there! Volunteers don't need any previous experience; a willing heart, enthusiasm and a ‘can do’ attitude are the only essentials! Blesma relies on public donations to continue its work. Benefits For the previous four years, most working age benefits were kept at their 2015/16 cash value. This did not affect disability, carers and pensioner benefits which saw a yearly increase. Due to the general election last year’s Autumn budget was cancelled. The government had previously announced there would be an end to the freeze in payment. There is a Spring budget planned for 11 March 2020 and the government policy will be confirmed then. We will update our Members in the following bulletin in Summer. Michelle Murphy’s Life changing experience on an Arizona Horse trip. Polishing up her horsemanship skills on her first Blesma trip was Michelle Murphy, who went on the Arizona horseback activity. She learnt about ranch life and went on horse riding trails too. Michelle told Blesma, 'It changed my life.' For 22 years Michelle, a Corporal, served in the Royal Corps of Signals.
