Project title
Game user type classification questionnaire and survey for game-based prosthetic training tool
Outline of project
The purpose of this study is to assess the wants, needs and preferences of upper limb amputees with regards to a prosthetic training tool based on a video-game-like experience. The information gathered from this survey will feed into our research regarding the design of a game-based prosthetic training tool. If you are an adult with any type of upper limb difference, we invite you to fill out the survey that you can find under the following link:
https://forms.ncl.ac.uk/view.php?id=6918116
The survey includes some personal information about the participant including name (optional), gender, age and some specifics regarding their upper limb difference for statistical purposes.
It also contains a questionnaire for the classification of the participant's game user type to assess the types of game elements that would be most suitable and enjoyable for the participant. The questionnaire is based on the Gamification User Type Hexad Scale model by Tondello et al. (2016).
Finally, the participants are asked to provide information on the preferences concerning games, game design and training tools.
