Safestore Fareham supports Blesma with storage facility
18 September 2018Safestore’s Fareham branch are kindly helping Blesma to store adapted skiing equipment securely and at a very reasonable price. The charity lacks the space to keep the ski-bikes and the equipment that goes with them at their own offices in Chadwell Heath, so a cost-effective and safe environment was vital as Members use the equipment throughout the winter sports season. Blesma to feature heavily in fourth Invictus Games
12 September 2018Twenty one Blesma Members have been selected to compete for the UK team at this year’s Invictus Games, which will be held in Sydney, Australia in October. More hopefuls than ever before – a whopping 451 people – applied to be a part of the UK squad, with just 72 wounded, injured and sick military personnel and veterans selected. The Games will see 500 competitors from 18 nations compete in 11 adaptive sports, with sailing set to be introduced for the first time.
