This Remembrance Day, please remember all of our limbless veterans, who’ve sacrificed so much for our freedom.

"I joined up at the age of 18 and went to North Africa, Italy, France and Greece. A lot of people I was there with didn’t come back from the war, and this Sunday never fails to take me right back there, all these years later."

Northern Ireland Royal Anglian Regiment. Double leg amputee and loss of an eye.

"I was blown up by a bunch of nuts and bolts, packed into a beer barrel, detonated by a bloke sitting in a pub. One of my legs was torn clean off. The other was hanging by a thread."
