We all know that Christmas is meant to be a special time of year for everyone, but this isn’t always the case. Operation Christmas Cheer aims to provide a Christmas Hamper to vulnerable, lonely or isolated Blesma Members letting them know someone is thinking about them this Christmas.

Christmas hamper scheme which is now in its third year. During the last two years, the scheme has seen us deliver over 400 hampers to lonely and socially isolated Blesma Members.

The injured veterans and the widows that we support are amongst the most vulnerable, in society, as their life-long disabilities leave them with complex needs which can increase their sense of isolation. Therefore, this year we are asking for your support to help us provide around 300 Christmas hampers to Blesma Members.

There are several ways to support our campaign this year including the following:

· Provide hampers – we will provide you with boxes and a list of items to put in the hampers

· Make and deliver some of the hampers directly to our Members

· Fundraise for Operation Christmas Cheer

By supporting this scheme, we can offer you opportunities for mutual collaboration both on a local and national level. As well as creating great employee engagement and PR opportunities.

“My poor husband is in hospital this Christmas, I haven’t even put up a tree, or decorations. The hamper was such a surprise. I can take him in some of the wonderful items inside, he will love them. The tree decoration really made my Christmas. Every time I looked at it, I knew that my husband and I had people thinking about us and supporting us through this tough time. I will treasure it. Next year when the tree goes up, I will make sure it goes at the top.”
