Safeguard Engineering Raises £5,110.15 for Blesma in 2021/22

The team at Safeguard Engineering have had a busy year fundraising for Blesma and their year-end total is an incredible £5,110.15 given to support Blesma’s vital work with limbless veterans. This money has been raised through quiz nights, sponsored bike rides and huge support for the Blesma 11k Challenge which saw 19 members of our team running, rowing, walking and even kayaking 11k around Portsmouth and Southsea to raise the money. And throughout the year Safeguard has offered match funding for monies raised which has helped us to reach this fantastic total.

We are delighted to say that we are continuing our partnership with Blesma for another year and hope to raise even more to support their work over the next 12 months.

Commenting on the fundraising success Director, Steve Beech said:

I have been so impressed by the efforts the team have gone to in their drive to fundraise for Blesma. I’m particularly pleased that so many joined in the 11k Challenge and in such a variety of different ways. We have all been inspired by the work that Blesma do and appreciate the help that Chris Knight gives us with our fundraising. We hope to raise even more this year and are busy planning what events and challenges the team will take on.”
