  • Team GB win The Simpson Cup

    Team GB have won back the Simpson Cup at the Royal St George's golf club in Kent. The Simpson Cup is an annual Ryder Cup-styled event pitting injured, sick and disabled servicemen and women from Great Britain against their USA counterparts. Britain clinched the event nine and a half points to eight and a half, the closest it's been in the tournament's four year history. Team GB have won back the Simpson

  • Osseo-integration

    Blesma, the lead Service charity upon living with limb loss since the aftermath of WW1, recognises that new technology and clinical procedures can improve traumatic injury treatment.  Osseo-integration, or direct skeletal fixation (both terms are in use), whereby an implant is fitted into the residual limb with a component of the implant protruding from the skin to connect to the external prosthetic limb is evolving right now with a programme launched in Australia.  A small number of selected British Servicemen have been put through this programme by the Ministry of Defence (MoD).  T
