Garden Grants 2020
17 December 2020Sometimes it can be difficult for Members to maintain their gardens. Blesma awards an annual grant of up to £300 to each individual who submits a grant form. The application, which must be submitted by January 2021, needs to be accompanied by receipts or a signed statement from your gardener. Peter Norton takes on Dorney Lake 5km Challenge
13 December 2020Blesma Member Pete Norton GC is attempting to walk 5km this Sunday – the furthest distance he has walked since he was injured in 2005. For 15 years, Pete has used a wheelchair after he was injured while serving with the Royal Logistic Corps in the Iraq War. He was checking for the presence of devices when an IED was triggered and exploded. He lost his left leg above the knee, his left arm below the elbow and suffered back injuries. Art class during lockdown
11 December 2020With our diaries scrubbed of social engagements, activities - and for myself equestrian competing - 2020 has proved an awkward, disillusioned year so far. I hope you have managed to stay safe and well. Blesma activities going online has kept isolation anxiety and loneliness at bay.
