    Remembering the Falklands War: Denzil Connick's Story Former Paratrooper Denzil was a 25-year-old Lance Corporal in an anti-tank platoon during the Falklands War. He lost his left leg at the hip and severely damaged his right leg when he was hit by a mortar round on 13 June 1982. This is his story. Denzil grew up in Chepstow the eldest of four brothers.     RAF veteran Luke Delahunty, who was paralysed from the chest down in a road traffic accident in 1996, has planned an epic year of cycling in support of Blesma and The Back-Up Trust. “After my rehabilitation, Blesma helped me in a number of ways – with grants that made my home life easier and activities such as photography, scuba diving and hand cycling,” said the 49 year old. “The Back-Up Trust helped me adjust to life as a paraplegic and showed me it was still possible to be active.   • Blesma Trustee set to take on epic cycling challenge

    Cornwall amputee and Blesma Trustee Stuart Croxford is embarking on a 2000km endurance cycle, covering the length of the UK, to raise funds for Blesma. The 2000km charity cycle will take Stu from Land’s End to John o’Groats, through 21 counties of England, Wales and Scotland. Starting on May 9th, Stuart will cycle up to 20 hours per days through Truro, Exmoor National Park, Quantock Hills, Bristol, Brecon Beacons National Park, Manchester, Yorkshire Dales, Stirling and Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve.
