Host your own Bake for Blesma event in May, invite your friends over for tea and cakes and fundraise for us by selling your baking creations or asking for a small fee to attend your tea and cakes afternoon. You could put on a full afternoon tea spread for your friends and family or even organise a bake sale.     Remembering the Falklands War: Denzil Connick's Story Former Paratrooper Denzil was a 25-year-old Lance Corporal in an anti-tank platoon during the Falklands War. He lost his left leg at the hip and severely damaged his right leg when he was hit by a mortar round on 13 June 1982. This is his story. Denzil grew up in Chepstow the eldest of four brothers.   • Luke Takes to the Tarmac to mark a Special Birthday

    Luke is cycling for Blesma's 90th Anniversary

    RAF veteran Luke Delahunty, who was paralysed from the chest down in a road traffic accident in 1996, has planned an epic year of cycling in support of Blesma and The Back-Up Trust. “After my rehabilitation, Blesma helped me in a number of ways – with grants that made my home life easier and activities such as photography, scuba diving and hand cycling,” said the 49 year old. “The Back-Up Trust helped me adjust to life as a paraplegic and showed me it was still possible to be active.
