    Blesma Supporter David Alexander sets off on a 300 mile cycle challenge from London to Paris this morning, in aid of Blesma, and in memory of his friend and Blesma Member Paul Burns.  David is due to finish his epic cycle challenge on Saturday 25 July, cycling along the Champs Elysee just ahead of the (hopeful) winner of this year's Tour de France, Chris Froome.  David is a keen cyclist, having taken part in the 'Operation Varsity Memorial Rid

    Team Hempstead - Quizzing for Blesma! 27th June 2015  We had a good turnout for our Blesma quiz which was held in the village of Hempstead, Kent. All the information I could find regarding Blesma was displayed on each of the tables, and many of those who attended had never heard of Blesma!  Sutton and Merton Blesma Branch Members generously donated some lovely raffle prizes. The Royal Engineers Museum Gillingham donated a family entry ticket valid for a full year from the date of issue

    The Blesma Annual General Meeting paid tribute to the inspiring efforts of Members, volunteers and staff who are the core of a unique charity. It has been a year of significant triumphs and milestones but Members and distinguished guests heard that challenges still remain to maintain progress and keep public support.     The family of a military hero is made an emotional D-Day anniversary pilgrimage to run in the charity race that claimed his life. On Saturday 6 June, Lt-Col Mike McErlain’s three young children and his wife, Joanna, ran part of the 44-mile course in Normandy that he co-founded. The brilliant 45-year-old Army surgeon, who operated at Camp Bastion in Afghanistan on several tours of duty, died on the annual D-Day run in 2013 after suffering heart difficulties two miles into the race.
