Foundation does John O’Groats to Land’s End with a difference
4 October 2020Veteran Mark Bowra, who suffered a stroke in 2014, has completed a 1,000-mile challenge to raise money for stroke survivors. Mark established the Bowra Foundation in 2019 and had planned to fundraise by cycling, swimming, paddling and walking from John O’Groats to Land’s End but, due to COVID-19, he adapted the challenge to use some static equipment and set off virtually on 03 June. “The inaugural Bowra 1000 was superb. 2 October 2020Former Gurkha Pradip Rai, who is paralysed from the chest down, is taking on the virtual London Marathon in his everyday wheelchair this Sunday! This will be his first attempt of the London Marathon, which is being completed virtually across the world this year. Prad and his fellow marathon participants will have 23 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds to complete the 26.2 miles.
