Game on for Blesma this March!

In Blesma’s 90th year, March will become Blesma’s first official ‘Month of gaming’. We will be celebrating all things Video Games!If you love video games, now is a great time to sign up to our Discord! There are weekly Call of Duty Training Sessions, and matches against other gamers representing the RBL, Wounded Warrior Project, Military teams and more. Most importantly it’s another way to meet and socialise with your fellow Members. Our E-sports Team is always looking for new Members to take part

Sheffield Christmas Party is an overnight success!

Last December the Outreach Officers for North East and North West combined forces to put together a landmark Christmas event. The event was the first overnight Activity to have been hosted by the Outreach Officers since they joined Blesma back in 2018. Over 65 Members met for an overnight Christmas party in Sheffield, including five new Members who had never had the chance to meet up in person before due to coronavirus restrictions. Saturday 19th February's West Ham V Newcastle Match marked this year's Blesma Awareness Fixture! The yearly awareness match sees our corporate partner West Ham trying to drum up awareness and donations for Blesma, through bucket collections, advertising on their big screens, a feature in the match day programme, and a pitch side interview. Injured veteran selected to represent ParalympicsGB at Beijing 2022

Owen Pick has been named in Great Britain’s Snowboarding team heading to Beijing today by the British Paralympics Association (BPA). Owen will represent his country once more in Snowboard cross and Banked Slalom, thanks to support from Blesma. The 30-year-old took his very first step on a snowboard during a Blesma trip to Colorado ten years ago. Now he is going for Paralympic glory.
