Lexi is looking at seven races in six months in aid of Blesma
27 June 2022Lexi Chambers is set to mark Blesma's 90th anniversary with a series of challenges. The former Royal Signals Soldier, marathon runner, and award-winning fitness instructor have seven events planned from May to October. The first of Lexi’s challenges is scheduled for 15 May with the Exmouth triathlon, where she will swim, cycle using her hand bike and use her everyday wheelchair. A week later Lexi will complete her first half marathon at the Great West Run on 22 May, followed by the Rehab Triathlon in Plymouth on 23 June, the Cardiff Summer Half Marathon on 3

Blesma Connects withdrawal
23 June 2022Blesma Connects was launched just over two years ago. Its goal was to provide an App that would enable Members to better connect with each other, to book onto Activities and to receive news and information about the Association. It would be fair to say that the App has not achieved its ambition. Take up amongst Members is low, functionality which was due to be developed has not taken place and cheaper and better web-based alternatives are now widely available. 2022 Increases in War Pensions and Allowances

Blesma announce team taking on the world’s toughest cycling challenge
13 June 2022On June 18th, a Blesma team of 18 limbless and injured service personnel will take on one of the world’s toughest endurance cycling events, the epic 3,081-mile Race Across America (RAAM). Starting in Oceanside, California, competitors pass through 12 states, covering 3,081 miles and climb in excess of 170,000 feet before finishing in Annapolis, Maryland. It continues to stand as one of the toughest events in the world and a tribute to human endurance.
