The British Para Ice Hockey Association (BPIHA) is proud to announce the launch of the Women’s GB High Performance program.

The BPIHA will be facilitating both the current GB Para Ice Hockey Program and the new Women’s GB high performance programs geared towards classifiable athletes with physical disabilities to participate in International Paralympic Committee (IPC) sanctioned events.

The new Women’s GB programme will be overseen by Head Coach Peggy Assinck who will be assisted by current GB Para Ice Hockey Head Coach Ian Offers.

We are currently recruiting girls/women+ with any physical disability to share their interest in being involved in our Women’s GB program. No previous experience in the sport or equipment is required.

Qualifying girls/women will be invited to bi-monthly training camps to prepare for the the World Para Ice Hockey Women’s World Challenge in Autumn 2022, which is the first event on the road to Women’s Para Ice Hockey’s inclusion in the Winter Paralympic Games.

If you have any specific questions about BPIHA programming geared towards girls/Women+, please email us at GBWomen@paraicehockey.co.uk.

Anyone interested in learning more about all the programs we run (i.e. try-it programs, club development programs or high performance programs) please email us or take a look at www.paraicehockey.co.uk
