2 December 2021

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Blesma have had to make the difficult decision to cancel this year's Christmas Carol Concert in Chelmsford.

Please refer to the below message from the Chief Executive.

"Dear Blesma Members,

I regret to inform you that due to the developing Covid situation and the recent discovery of the Omicron variant in Essex, out of an abundance of caution I have taken the very difficult decision to cancel the Blesma Carol Service due to take place on Thursday 2 December at Chelmsford Cathedral.  Although we were very much looking forward to Members, staff, supporters and guests coming together at the Cathedral for the service, we would not be able to guarantee everyone the level of protection from Covid that we would wish.

I would like to thank all those who worked so hard to put this event together.  I’m especially sorry to disappoint you, however, our main priority at this time has to be safety for all concerned.

We have sent an email to everyone who has been invited to the service and to those who have registered their attendance. We apologise again for any disappointment caused, and look forward to seeing our attendees another time, when conditions are safer.

Jon Bryant - Chief Executive"
