    A salute to our Forces

    Though Armed Forces Day 2020 was unlike any other, separation did not dampen the spirits of Blesma’s staff and Membership.   • Game on For Blesma raises £1000 with inaugural Gameathon

    The first Game on for Blesma Challenge has now been completed, as Callum Walker aka DustMonkeyGames has managed to raise an incredible £1000 by Live streaming video games for 24hours! Starting at 5pm on Saturday and playing right through until 5pm Sunday, Callum is the first gamer to live stream his video gaming to support the Association. Callum said: “In 2018 I became paralysed in my right leg below the knee.   • Business as (new) normal

    In recent weeks, COVID-19 has impacted severely on all our lives, and Blesma and its Members are certainly no exception. The Association has faced many challenges in its 100-year history, but the coronavirus pandemic is unique. Blesma has continued to support Members and their families in this period, with an even greater emphasis on tackling loneliness and isolation. As a matter of course, the team based in Chelmsford regularly updates a risk register for the Board of Trustees, which includes the Association’s planned responses to all manner of significant events.     Armed Forces Day is a chance for everyone in the UK to show their support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
