The shortlist for the 21st annual Charity Times Awards has been announced – and Blesma Connects has made the list!
The awards reward excellence in the Charity Sector across over 25 separate categories. The best individual charities and charity leaders are celebrated, alongside the best examples of specific areas of management including fundraising, communications, campaigning, use of technology, and more.
This year Blesma has been nominated for ‘The Best use of Technology’ Category, due to the fantastic success of Blesma Connects. Since the App launched in early 2020, it has been downloaded by over 1,000 users, which represents over a third of our Membership.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, the App has been helping us to stay in touch with one another, and even make new friends in isolation. Similarly, our Digital Inclusion programme has seen many Members who were not previously online being kitted out with the technology needed to contact friends and family during this difficult time.
Hopefully these reasons make Blesma a worthy nominee and fingers crossed we will have more good news in September, when the awards will be presented in a virtual ceremony.
Thank you all for downloading and enjoying Blesma Connects, and if you have any feedback on the App at all, please do share it with us by emailing app@blesma.org
