The Remembrance 11k - Thank you!
12 November 2020This year Blesma looked to create an event which would bring our community together for Remembrance, despite the obstacles posed by Coronavirus. Though fundraising was never the primary aim of the Remembrance 11k, incredibly, more than £20,000 has now been raised to support Blesma’s injured veterans. More than 200 participants took part, running, cycling or otherwise – to remember in every corner of the country, and even beyond, in France and the USA! Blesma Member walks again for the first time in six years
6 November 2020Former Gurkha Pradip Rai, who is paralysed from the chest down, has walked again thanks to robotic exoskeleton technology. Prad, 48, has used a wheelchair for the last six years, but over summer he was able to trial four different suits at The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital. Taking his first steps was an “emotional and happy moment for everyone involved,” he said.
