    Blesma, the Limbless Veterans is at present in a period of consultation with residents and staff at the Blesma Blackpool Home and until that process is complete in August there is no absolute decision on its future.   Whatever happens our highest priority is to ensure residents continue to receive the high quality and affordable care the Blesma Blackpool Home currently provides. Blesma is committed to all of its members for life. The number of residents at the Blesma Home has been declining at an increasing rate over the past few years.  This is as a result of several factors.  Blesm

  • Blesma pair help City fund-raising effort

    A glittering evening held at the Honourable Artillery Company helped raise around £50,000 for service charities including Blesma this week. The CSARN Salute dinner and celebrity auction was a huge success with prized auction items, including Wales rugby captain Sam Warburton’s boost and the chance to fly in a Spitfire, subject to heavy bidding.   • Blesma AGM reaffirms commitment to members

    The Blesma Annual General Meeting 2016 provided a chance to celebrate the inspiring work of Members, volunteers and staff and report that the charity was in a strong position. Delegates and guests at the meeting, held at the RAF Club, in Piccadilly, London, heard chief executive Barry Le Grys present the Trustees’ Annual and Strategic Report and introduce a series of speakers who defined Blesma’s commitment to the future.   • 81-year-old fundraiser takes to the sky to mark 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme

    On Saturday 2nd July 2016, fearless Blesma Members and supporters will be marking the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme by leaping 13,500ft from a plane. Fall for the Fallen is Blesma’s annual charity tandem skydiving event to honour our fallen heroes. Jumps will be taking place in Wiltshire, Peterborough and Lincolnshire and last year the event raised £29,120.
