Veterans from Blesma are amongst 40 ex-Service men and women who have been photographed by Bryan Adams for his photography exhibition 'Wounded: The Legacy of War' which is also available to buy as a book.
Wounded: The Legacy of War is at Somerset House, London WC2, 12 November 2014 to 25 January 2015, admission free.
The exhibition is accompanied by a stunning book, Wounded: The Legacy of War priced at £50 with proceeds from the book going to Blesma and several service charities. It features images of 40 veteran soldiers taken by Adams, accompanied by each soldier’s personal story.
Marine Mark Ormrod, injured in Afghanistan
Sergeant Rick Clement, injured in Afghanistan
Lieutenant Will Dixon, injured in Afghanistan
Sergeant Mark Sutcliffe, injured in Iraq
"This book and exhibition was six years in the making and what was fascinating but also uplifting was hearing the stories of the servicemen and women.
I heard it explained that the war starts again for them because, when they come home, they have to learn how to rehabilitate themselves and face things that they'd never thought" - Bryan Adams
