We have a great opportunity for Blesma Members to have a say in a new exhibition at the Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds that is due to open in August 2014 to coincide with the centenary of the First World War. The exhibition will focus on the medical responses to, and advances from, injuries sustained in military service - mainly hearing loss, PTSD and limb loss.

The museum would like to make contact with veterans who have lost a limb through military service to help them with both the content and the design of the exhibition to ensure that their experiences of the medical aspect of sustaining an injury are reflected accurately.

Participants would be asked to take part in up to 8 sessions between now and next March - both at the Museum and their own locations, if necessary.

If you have lost a limb through military service and are in the Yorkshire region or know anyone who is, please email Trizia Wells at trizia@trizia.co.uk to register your interest or to find out more information.
