Life After Traumatic Injury Can Be Challenging
Scott was injured by an IED blast in Afghanistan in 2010, which resulted in him losing both legs above the knee, as well as seriously injuring an arm.
The day I was blown up was the day my life changed completely. I went from being a young man fighting for my country to being an amputee in a hospital bed without a career.
The road back to recovery and adapting to the loss of both of his legs has been long and challenging. But with the continued support of Blesma, Scott has rebuilt his life and become an inspiration to many.
Scott has gone on to rebuild his career, win a bronze medal in wheelchair basketball at the Invictus Games, and volunteers with the Army Cadets.
Please donate today so veterans like Scott can continue to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Your donation can help Blesma provide vital mobility assistance, welfare grants and companionship.
