Jim's Story
Jim served in the 'Pathfinders' during WWII and was injured whilst landing in Sicily.
"Remembrance Day is very, very important to me and I was extremely honoured to be asked to lead the parade for Blesma last year.
I was the only WWII representative with Blesma – there aren’t many of us left – I’m 92! On the day itself, I think about all the people I served with back in WWII.
I joined up at the age of 18 and went to North Africa, Italy, France and Greece. A lot of people I was there with didn’t come back from the war, and this Sunday never fails to take me right back there, all these years later."
