Military Charity Blesma, The Limbless Veterans seek people for Remembrance 11k fundraising event
Military Charity Blesma, The Limbless Veterans have launched a Remembrance Day Virtual 11k event to support veterans and serving personnel who have lost limbs or the use of limbs while also commemorating the poignant day of Remembrance.
The charity is seeking people to join them wherever they are to help bring together the Blesma Community across the Nation within the realm of the new normal, creating a unique and interconnected group of participants in their own local parks and neighbourhoods across all regions, uniting everyone connected to Blesma on this very important day.
From 8:30 on Sunday 8 November, participants may join the Blesma team at this inaugural event, which will bring runners together virtually to complete 11k in Remembrance of the fallen, and those who came home injured.
Blesma plans to also live-streaming the event so participants can join virtually for a live warm-up from a local personal trainer and experience the pre-race build-up.
A 20% military discount is available by using code ‘Military20’ and those registering before midnight on 5 October can also receive an early bird discount by using the code ‘Earlybird11k.’
