Asda Chadwell Heath makes donation to local military charity

Customers and staff at Asda Chadwell Heath have presented a cheque for £500 to military charity Blesma, The Limbless Veterans.

Blesma are a national charity with their main office based on the High Road in Chadwell Heath. They were chosen by customers to receive the donation through the green token collection.

Siobhan Tumber, the branch’s Community Champion, said: “Helping ex-service men is something close to my heart having family currently serving in the forces. At Asda Chadwell Heath we are so happy we have been able to help Blesma. A truly deserving charity!”

Christina Crook, Blesma’s Fundraising Relationship Executive, said: “Thank you to all the staff and customers at Asda Chadwell Heath for supporting Blesma – we are really grateful for the chance to be involved in the local community!”

Blesma, The Limbless Veterans is the national charity for all limbless service men and women, their widows and dependants. It was formed in the years following the First World War and became a national charity in 1932.
