Ilford NatWest branch celebrate reopening by collecting donations for Blesma

22 December 2015

The Ilford branch of NatWest has been given a makeover as part of a £450m investment into upgrading branches across the UK. The branch has been fitted with new technology such as free wi-fi and upgraded cash deposit machines.

To celebrate the reopening of the branch on 04 December, staff and customers collected £122.65 in donations for Blesma, The Limbless Veterans whose offices are in Chadwell Heath and whom NatWest provide banking services for.

Branch manager Paul Hobley says: “We are delighted to be celebrating the reopening of our branch, and to make a contribution towards the fantastic work that Blesma does at the same time.”

Associate Director of Fundraising for Blesma said: “I would like to thank all the staff and customers of Ilford NatWest for their generosity this festive season!”

Blesma, The Limbless Veterans is the national charity for all limbless service men and women, their widows and dependants. It was formed in the years following the First World War and became a national charity in 1932.
