Blesma to benefit from sale of limited edition Bremont watch
11 February 2015
Online company Xupes will be donating their 15% commission and VAT from the sale of the Bremont ALT1-Z CH47 ‘Chinook’ watch, which is limited to just 50 units, to Blesma.
Xupes, established in 2009 and run from Bishops Stortford, deals in fine watches, jewellery, art and antiques and associated luxury goods.
The ALT1-Z watch was produced specifically for the 50 pilots of the Chinook-flying RAF squadron in Afghanistan and is one of the first being made available to the general public.
The original owner, still serving and wishing to remain nameless, is delighted to have the opportunity to support a cause dear to him: "In Afghanistan one of the primary roles of the Chinook was on Incidence Response Team (IRT) duty, evacuating injured soldiers from combat, getting them back safely to hospital in Camp Bastion,” he said, “I guess it ties in pretty nicely with the proceeds going to Blesma.”
As is to be expected from Bremont, the ALT1-Z CH47 Chinook is finished to the finest calibre, is capable of withstanding a nuclear blast, and is as British as a Supermarine Spitfire. For a full write-up, professional photos and spec of the watch, which is up for sale at £7,250, go to: http://www.xupes.com/Watches/Product-Details/10449/Bremont/ALT1-Z-Chinook-Limited-Edition-Military-Issue-SS.html
