Military charity invites corporate sponsors

18 July 2013

One of the oldest charities supporting limbless veterans and their families since after the First World War is calling out to corporates nationwide for sponsorship bids.

Blesma, The Limbless Veterans is a membership association which has been helping wounded service men and women rebuild their lives since 1932 by providing rehabilitation activities and welfare support.

Jessica Vincent, Corporate Fundraiser at Blesma says: “This is an extremely exciting time for us. We have recently had a massive makeover and now have a brand new fundraising team. The aim is to streamline processes and focus our energies where it matters the most - our Members. Corporate responsibility has long offered corporates a great way to engage with charities. If you are as passionate about supporting limbless veterans get back to living independent fulfilling lives as we are, we would love to hear from you!”

Though the forces charity has been based in Chadwell Heath since 1964, it has recently undergone an exciting facelift. It now has a newly refurbished office, a freshly updated website, eight members in their fundraising team and two staff members leading on all communications both internally and with the outside world.

Blesma, The Limbless Veterans is the national charity for all limbless serving and ex-service men and women, their widows and dependants. It was formed in the years following the Great War and became a national charity in 1932.
