During the current and changeable situation relating to Coronavirus, patients are requested to contact their NHS Limb Centre prior to attending any prearranged appointment to check if any special measures are in place at the specific centre. As this is an unprecedented set of circumstances the situation may change. Patient cooperation is appreciated as there may well be some disruption to services and delays.

The Veterans Prosthetic Panel in England will continue to consider ongoing applications for funding as this does not require patient attendance or face to face meetings. Limb Centres will continue to be advised of the outcome of the VPP by email as normal, however patients will not receive a confirmation letter for the time being as NHS staff work from home and have limited access to secure printing and postal services. Similar actions for administrative decisions/processes are also in place across the NHS in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
