At Blesma, we know from our work with Armed Forces Families that they can face additional pressures, health issues and barriers to accessing NHS services.
Many organisations are now looking to work on easing the pressures that Armed Forces Families face, and improve their options when it comes to accessing local services more easily across England.
NHS England and NHS Improvement want to ensure that those families get the care and support they need from clinicians and people who understand the Armed Forces.
Their questionnaire and online events provide an opportunity for people and organisations to share their views on doing this, helping the NHS identify and improve the right areas of their service.
Much like the Blesma Families Study (Caring and Coping : The Family Perspective on Living with Limb Loss) it looks at the experiences of the whole family as opposed to focusing solely on the person who served or is serving.
Please do take the time out to give your thoughts if you can, as these studies are vital in improving outcomes for Armed Forces Families both now and into the future
