A message from Blesma to Tony Hudgell

You may recently have seen a story being shared on social media about the incredible five-year-old Tony Hudgell.

Tony lost both of his legs as the result of abuse, and even though he is still getting used to his new prosthetic legs he has raised over £1.2million for the NHS by walking with crutches every day in June.

We thought that it would be fantastic if we could share a message of thanks and encouragement for Tony, from as many Blesma Members as possible. It is often said that our Membership is inspiring and resilient, and we think Tony is too! It would be so special for us to let him know just how inspiring we think he is via a video message and we’d like you to help us do that.

If you would like to join Blesma in thanking Tony, please record a short video message on your smartphone, ideally around 10-15 seconds, and send it via Whatsapp it to 07741 196770

Our very own Support Officer Paul Findlay has kindly recorded an example above to give you an idea of the sentiment and style we have in mind.

These will then be edited into a ‘show-reel’ of Blesma’s well wishes, which will be sent to Tony and his family and shared on Social media.

The deadline for submitting a video is 4pm on Monday July 13th.

Thank you all for your submissions so far! If you have any questions please get in contact with Commsexec@blesma.org
