Winners have been announced for the highly anticipated Blesma Grand Prize Draw.
The Grand Prize Draw was launch for the second year as part of the annual fundraising initiative Blesma Week back in March. Prizes up for grabs included the chance to win £1000 and a Focus Raven Mountain Bike kindly donated by Blesma Member Carole King.
The Grand Prize Draw raised an incredible £12,941 for wounded veterans, making the total amount raised from Blesma week £74,332. All proceeds raised through Blesma Week will go towards funding Blesma’s vital work supporting injured serving personnel and veterans.
Blesma Member Alex Stringer came to Blesma HQ on Wednesday 27th July 2016 to pick the lucky four winners from the thousands of hopeful tickets. Alex, 25, from Basildon, lost both his legs and left arm after he stepped on an IED whilst serving in the Royal Logistic Corps in Afghanistan in 2011.
The lucky winners were Claire Bright from Essex winning the £1000 prize, Lesley Hart from Renfrewshire winning £500 and Mrs Collier from Lincolnshire winning £250. Blesma member Peter Siddons from Dorset was the lucky winner of the Raven Mountain Bike.
Prizes were sponsored by Centro PLC, Hampden Agencies LTD and Steeper.
