A glittering evening held at the Honourable Artillery Company helped raise around £50,000 for service charities including Blesma this week.
The CSARN Salute dinner and celebrity auction was a huge success with prized auction items, including Wales rugby captain Sam Warburton’s boost and the chance to fly in a Spitfire, subject to heavy bidding.
The event, organised by Square Mile Salute and the City Security And Resilience Networks, heard from Blesma members Darren Swift and Owen Pick about the importance of fund-raising to helping forces personnel recover and find their independence.
The pair helped with fund-raising on the night with the proceeds going to Blesma, Support Our Paras, Soldiering On and CrimeStoppers.
