Meet Ali Grant

Their Story
Ali was a former Major in the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps. She was posted to Aldershot, Germany, Kenya and Birmingham, before she was injured in a road traffic accident in July 2005 resulting in paraplegia - the loss of use of her lower limbs.
In addition to sitting on our Board of Trustees, Ali has been a Member of the Association since 2004. She has taken part in various Blesma activities from photography trips to skiing in La Plagne and went on a voyage to Jersey on the tall ships. Ali is also involved in Blesma’s Making Generation R programme and was part of Graeae Theatre Company’s production ‘This is Not for You,’ which commemorated the centenary of the end of World War I.
