Menopause is an important moment in a woman’s bone health. This is because of a decrease in oestrogen - a hormone that's important for keeping bone density stable and maintaining bone strength. As a result of this decrease, bone density starts to reduce, and with this loss, comes reduced bone strength and a greater risk of breaking bones.
