Remember Those Who Have Sacrificed So Much
Neil was severely injured by a bomb blast while serving in Iraq in 2004, resulting in the loss of both legs above the knee.
“When I woke from my coma, I was told I’d lost both my legs. And that I was going to be a dad."
The road back to recovery and adapting to the loss of both of his legs has been long and challenging. But with the continued support of Blesma, Neil has rebuilt his life and become an inspiration to many.
"Thanks to Blesma, I’ve been able to adapt, walk again, and even take on new challenges like climbing."
Despite these incredible accomplishments and his service, Neil doesn't consider himself a hero. One of his greatest achievements is living an independent life after losing both legs of his legs above the knee.
Please donate this Remembrance so that injured and limbless veterans like Neil can continue to lead fulfilling lives. Your donation can help Blesma provide vital mobility assistance, welfare grants and companionship for the duration of their lives.
