Meet Spencer Bull

Trustee for Blesma since

7 June 2026

Their Story

Spencer served in the British Army for 29 years. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2005, he continued to serve for over a decade, working in Army Welfare, liaising with service charities, and commanding a Personal Recovery Unit, before being medically discharged in 2017. He is now a full-time wheelchair user living with the loss of use of limbs.

He is involved in numerous volunteering roles and is passionate about sharing his lived experience to support veterans and their families. He works part time at the Help for Heroes Recovery College as a Peer Support Trainer (Lived Experience).

An active individual, Spencer enjoys adaptive skiing, sailing, and off-road motoring adventures. He was first introduced to Blesma whilst at school, when he raised funds by completing a half marathon, and has since taken part in a range of member activities, including Making Generation R, a skiing trip, and social gatherings. He considers it a real honour to have been selected as a Trustee.

Spencer is married to Sally, and they have three children, all at university.

"We, as a family, all live with MS, but that doesn't stop me from living for the day whilst planning for the future!"
