The annual Amesbury Duck Race - get involved!
10 August 2017Blesma Member Andy Derry will be holding his annual duck race on 28 August in aid of the Association. One thousand plastic ducks will race on the River Avon in this awesome event and you can get involved! You can purchase your own duck for just £2 - all the money raised will go to Blesma and there are some fantastic prizes up for grabs. Winners of Grand Prize Draw 2017 announced
27 July 2017Winners have been announced for the highly anticipated Blesma Grand Prize Draw. The Grand Prize Draw was launch for the third year as part of the annual fundraising initiative Blesma Week back in March. Prizes up for grabs included the chance to win £1000 and a Olympus Camera donated by Olympus KeyMed. The Grand Prize Draw raised an incredible £10,216 for wounded veterans. All proceeds raised through Blesma Week will go towards funding Blesma’s vital work supporting injured serving personnel and veterans.

Double amputee veteran to reattempt Matterhorn climb
26 July 2017A double amputee Army veteran is again attempting to summit one of the deadliest mountains in the world. Neil Heritage, 36, from Dorset, is set to climb the Matterhorn next month in his second attempt to summit the mountain. If Neil and his team reach the summit, he will be the first double above knee amputee to complete the challenge. The former corporal, who was injured by a suicide bomber in Iraq in 2004, attempted the climb last year but had to make the decision to turn back. “Last year a number of things went wrong as the challenge had never been done before” said
