If you would like to run an activity for your fellow Members, we’d love to hear from you! The Activities Team is here to give you as much support as you need in organising the activity and can explain what you need to do.

About running your own event:

Our activities team can discuss the things that you need to consider about the activity and the venue to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that Members/Widows are able to enjoy themselves in a safe environment. For example;

  • Is the activity suitable for Members/Widows with limited mobility?
  • Is the venue accessible (wheelchair friendly, step free access, ramps)?
  • Are there accessible toilets?

Ordinary and Associate Members and Widows of Ordinary and Associate Members are eligible to attend activities. Some activities are open to family Members (spouse/ partner and children). Honorary Members can attend activities if they are supporting the organiser.

What will Blesma pay for?

Blesma will pay for the cost of hiring the venue, the activity itself, refreshments and, where appropriate, accommodation.

(i.e. fishing/photography/painting)
please provide as much detail as possible, including the accessibility of the activity, the venue and the accommodation (if appropriate)
Please give as much information as possible including copies of quotes from professional instructors, accommodation, transport and refreshments cost where appropriate
including arrival and departure times and any special requirements (eg. Participants to provide own equipment or specialist clothing)
